2nd UNIT Story, just as boring as all other later ones. This one particularly fetishizes the mighty military power (grenade, missiles, and hydrogen bomb from Russia) in the guise of self defense from alien invasion. Also "Well, of all the bigoted, anti-feminist, cretinous remarks..." we have “Can’t we keep her on sir? She’s much prettier than a computer”. And of course the girl Isobel ended up admitting she's foolish and continued romantic relationship with the sexist remark soldier. 高低眼Villain scenes also too heavy handed: "You're an evil man...You're sadistic. You're a megalomaniac. You're insane" "The world is weak, vulnerable...It needs a strong man, a single mind. A leader!"

我看的第三個跟情緒改變器有關的故事了 之前是pkd和Vonnegut pkd也是68年寫的，但是沒想到Vonnegut那個故事51年就有了 Cybermen(銀色皮套人ver.)好可愛啊 可能我只是看特攝看的 想說希望多多出現但現在都是平凡的金屬人了…… "clever wee chappie" Jamie you're so real for this "Look, Jamie, sandwiches. l'm hungry." 滿分台詞……
