In some way, parallel can be drawn between this Godardian, Kafka-esque tale and Patrick ***'s 1982 film *****. Although drastically differ in style, both deal with an abrupt termination of innocent (or rather *****) youth when the protagonist(s) inexplicably got entangled in a whirlwind of cruel political violence. Doubly so in this one when protagonist would profess certain political manifesto, but only as an acting exercise for a political film, without any real understanding; but even for his young white hipster peers who filled the ***** he attended "by chance", who purportedly possess a certain grasp of political reality, they could still be largely performative.
