英语旁白一本正经地解说系列历史，穿插小岛秀夫回忆充满个人趣味的花絮，这对比有点好笑。另外小岛给初代MGS的主题定性为“胖小孩如果认为自己不擅长运动是因为自己的父母就不擅长，那玩过后说不定会试着参加运动会”；而当年小学六年级的我通关之后完全没得到这种触动真是抱歉。
